The Executive Committee of the Old Settlers Organization met on above date.
Present M. S. Webster
William D Dugan, also the following members of the Committee were present by Proxy - J. P. Loving having written proxies, from them authorizing him to vote for them on all questions that might come before the Committee on R S Bullock and James G Hodges-
A note was recd [abbr: received] from Chairman Tolbert that he could not possibly be present and asking that we set another day, but the Com, thought best, to go ahead as 4 of that Com were represented.
The following Proposition was received from College Hills and Park Line Company.
Sherman Texas July 7th 1894
To the Executive Committee
Old Settler's Association Grayson County Texas
As the time is near at hand again when your committee is to meet and select the place where you will hold your next annual Reunion. the undersigned as Representatives of the College Hills and Park Line Companly, take pleasure in offering you the following inducements to again select College Park as your place of meeting:
First We will supply you with abundant stock water.
Second Ice water in liberal supply, and of the best quality shall be at hand at all times with an abundance of Ice for Dames.
Third We will supply you with all needful fuel.
Fourth We pledge you a splendid "Band of music" during your entire two days session.
Fifth We will furnish Free Transportation for all enrolled Old Settlers of fifty years of age and over. Tickets to be obtained through your secretary.
Sixth We will furnish all enrolled Old Settlers through your secretary with a neat and appropriate badge as a souvenir of the occasion.
Seventh We pledge you the free use of our park, comfortably seated, brilliantly lighted by electricity, and the same to be open to ingress and egress at all hours.
