Committee meet per. previous appointment.
W.Wheat vice President Presiding.
Resignation of Robt. Atchisin President. Read and
J.P. Loving G.W. Hobson, W.W. Wheat and
Jas. R. Jeter were appropirate to achieve (Cencerl?)
with Committee from 11th and 16 Texas Regiments
and agree are Programme Grounds T.C.
Conference Committee agreed to meet at the
Grounds replaced by Com. for 4th July celebration,
1 and 1/4 miles South of Sherman.
The following Programme was agreed to.
First day 17th August.
Welcome address by J.J. Parker about 10 a.m.
Mr. Parker having declared, the committee
substituted Cehas B. Waudelohr Cesgr of Sherman
address at 3P.M. by J.R. Jeter Esq of Sherman.
Second Day 18th
To be devoted mostly to the 11th and 16th Regiments.
Welcome address by Judge SilasHare of Sherman.
Response by Col. Gustave Gook of Houston and
Gene Thomas Harrson of Waco for 11th Texas and
Response by Alfred M. Douglass and
Address lel ask for 16th Texas.
(?Geul J(?) J. Yood having declared to
speak on behalf of the Old Settlers, the Committee
rebuilded the name of Here Olvi Welborn for
a speech at 3p.m.
Third Day 19th
Speech by Here Robt. H. Taylor of Fannin at
10 a.m. on behalf of Old Settlers.
Speech by John Jennings of Grayson
Secretary instructed to seel stand
privileges and make all necessary arrangements
for Picnic and furthur authorized to Comspesed
(?) expected special invitation to any who he
may desire. T.C.
