Old Settlers Committee on [Prograus] met at Court House as previously notified and agreed upon the following for Reunion Aug. 3rd and 4th at Bledsoe's Grove.. W.W. Wheat, Presiding.
First day. Wednesday. August 3rd 1881.
Address of Welcome by U.N. Buckles Csgr. of Sherman at 10 a.m.
Response by James D. Woods Csgr of Sherman.
Speech by [ ] Woods Csgr. of Denison at 2 p.m.
Second day Thursday August 4th 1881
Speech by Judge R.C. Beall of Corsicana at 9 A.M.
Speech by Gov. R.B. Hubbard at 11 a.m.
Speech by Judge Jo Bledsoe at 2 P.M. declined T.J. Briners instead
The marshall Capt J.H. Sea was authorized and instructed to make contract for Repairing grounds, Creating speakers, stand, seats, for Water Supply, for Band of Music, each day, to sell 1 or more beer privileges, and as many other [staud] privileges as he may deem best for the interest of the association, as Public or private sale, as he may elect.
Secretary authorized to have Programme published in Courier-Chronicle-Herald-News and Whitesboro Paper, also instructed if possible to get reduced fare on Rail Roads for those who may wish to come from a distance.
Suggested that all campers be requested to camp on the ground on Tuesday night 2nd.
It was also agreed that all the Singing Choirs in the county have a general invitation to be present and sing, and those who may decide, to notify the Secty. of their acceptance of Invitation.
Everybody invited-young and old settlers.
