Programme Old Settlers Picnic

The Executive Committee of the Old Settlers Association of Grayson County met at the Court House in Sherman July 18th, 1885 and the following business was transacted.
It was unanimously agreed to hold the Reunion at the Sherman [gap: illegible] Park, the Committee having arranged for the grounds on the same terms as last year $50.00 for the two days.

The following Programme was agreed upon.

First day August 20th 1885.

Meet at fair grounds at 10 a.m.
Address of Welcome by Judge S. A. Gilbert of Denisonat 10:30 a.m.
Response by W. R. Deane of Sherman
The evening will be occupied by social chats, games, etc. for the amusement of young and old.
Speech by Rev. [abbr: Reverend] T. L. Miller of Sherman at 9 p.m.

Second Day Friday August 21st 1885.

Meet at 10 a.m.
Speech by [gap: illegible] J. E. McComb of Montgomery at 10:30 a.m.
Basket Dinner.
The evening will be occupied in social chats, base ball games, etc. etc.
