Old Settler's Association of Grayson County, Vol. 1. Page: 78 of 322 (Transcription)

July 29, 1887 [add: 1887]
To the Officers and members of the Old Settlers Association of Grayson County.
The undersigned and [gap: illegible] submits his annual report.
The association is out of debt so far as I know.
The Executive Committee made the same arrangement with Mr Batsell for the grounds as for last year to receive us into the grounds, and pay all our expenses.
I have tried to ascertain the number of deaths since our last reunion and have read reports on only 13 in. [abbr: including] Uncle Ben Christian, George G. Dorris [overstrike: and] Parson Ben Williams and Judge Jas. [abbr: James] Porter. Have used no money or disbursed any and nothing on hands.
Respectfully Submitted
J P Loving
