Last Thursday, the temperature at DFW International Air-
port reached 82 degrees, just one degree shy of the record.
That warm-up was largely due to a gusty south wind that
gusted as high as 33 mph. The wind was nearly as strong on
Friday, but from the opposite direction. Those brisk north
winds brought a 30-degree drop. But strong winds are not
unexpected this time of year. Late February, March and
April mark the windiest months of the year in North Texas,
with an average wind speed (day and night) of 12.2 mph.

saulting a 37-year-old woman
in the 2100 block of Spencer

port.

Neil’s past DRC comments
that I liked, I visited his blog
page (https://www.durrance

without a rigid or mealy-
mouthed espousal of a party
line. I’m sure that’s still a
disqualifying feature of
anyone running for office in
this part of Texas, but those
of you who believe that
moderation has always
produced the best govern-
ment (and history proves
you right), you owe it to
yourself to check out Neil’s
