Mineral Wells

will be the guests of the Mineral
Wells Mountaineers next Friday
night, November 22 at Mineral
Wells, in a game between the two

in district. They run from a single
wing and have some large boys.
'and Dannell Durrette were work-

Jeanie Hall, Nancy Merritt, and

The Weatherford Kangaroos,
who now own a 7 and 1 season
standing, have been in the top
ten teams in Texas for the last
three weeks. They are previously
ranked number “9”. They have
racked up the points this year
scoring 231 points to their op-
ponents 58.
Our hard running fullback Bob
Eason was selected by the Star
Telegram as back of the week in
the weekly Honor Roll. Bob re-
ceived this honor by scoring three
times as the Roo’s ran past the
Brownwood Lions 33-0. He is also
tied for seventh place among
other backs in 3-AAA in scoring.
He has scored 80 points on 13
touchdown runs and added two
extra points. Congradulations Bob
and keep up the good work.
There has been a lot of talk
around the fieldhouse this week
about “Teddy Bear.” Of course
this is none other than Ted: Hart-
ness. The football workouts must
be getting old at this, time of the
year because some of the boys
are trying new ideas like hunting.
Ask Elroy Doggett or Wayne
Mauldin how they like their new
sport. Duck Hunting. Craig Mc-
Adams and; Ed Smith have decid-
ed that they like the sport of
“Deer Hunting”.
