The traffic bureau of ihe chamber

more than a year eld has grown so
rapidly that it is to be made an inde-
pendent department of the chamber of

sufficient length of time to prove Its
Importance to the shippers of the city

In a disease so painful as Rheumatism medicines containing opiates
and nerve-quieting drugs are often used. Such treatment is dangerous not
only because it frequently causes the sufferer to become addicted to the
drug habit but medicines of this nature are always injurious to the system.
Rheumatism is a disease of the blood and its cure depends entirely upon a
thorough purification of tho circulation. As long as the blood remains
saturated with uric acid an inflammatory condition of the nerves muscles
and tendons of the body will exist and tho pains aches soreness and hot
feverish flesh of Rheumatism will continue. The one safe and sure cure for
EheueiatiEm is S. S. S. It is nature's remedy for this disease made entirely
of the healing cleansing juices and extracts of roots herbs and barks from
the natural forests. S. S. S. does not contain anything that is in tho slightest
way injurious to the system. It is absolutely and purely vegetable and
free from opiates or sedatives of any Mnd. S. S. S. cures Rheumatism by
removing the uric acid from the circulation it makes the blood pure rich
and heaalthy so that instead of depositing sharp uratic impurities into the
muscles nerves joints and bones it nourishes everv portion of the body
with natural healthful properties.

Hold Meeting Talk Eat and
Decide to Help Better
the World.
"Get together" is the simple-way they
put it at the Church ot St. Clement.
It refers of course to this movement
of churchmen this new thing in the
church world. It Is a sort of determin-
ation to outdo the women who have
done so long. Now the men of St.
Clement's are at It and In earnest.
It had its beginning last night at the
dinner in the parish house just a get-
together affair for men alone. There
were exactly 55 men of the parish there
and before 10 oclock it was determined!
to form a men's club a form of paro-
chial organization so successful In
other Episcopal parishes. More men ate
chicken and hot biscuit than the cooks
of the parish had expected. And more
men talked after the dinner than the
toast master had expected too. It all
showed a new spirit in the parish com-
ing on the heels of the missionary
movement conference. When tobacco
was burning there was some speech-
First of a Series.
"This is but the first of a series of
gatherings" explained J. J. Ormsbee
who acted as toastmaster. "During the
missionary conference I had opportunity
to see the close relation of the men
of other Protestant churches. It is time
that the men of St. Clement's- were do-
ing something."
"We clergy have talked and talked
and talked" said Bishop Kendrick a
guest of honor. "Perhaps the laiety
have not had a chance to talk. I want
to know what you will say about it;
what you will do about it. Every one
at work should be the ideal of the con-
gregation. Hands have been laid on
your heads in conformation as on ours
in ordination. "
The Layman's Idea.
What Horace B. Stevens said seemed
to please everybody- He talked about
early El Paso with especial reference
to the gambling days. Mr. Stevens did
not talk about churches or missionary
movements. He "said: "We had few
skyscrapers and not many ky pilots
In those days. And most of the sky
pilots looked like ordinary gamblers.
Well the skyscrapers were made of Rio
Grande concrete.
"People slander El Paso a great deal.
They even talk about our time. They
say we have mountain time western
time city time and some a hell of a
time. We had a school board in the
old days. But it didn't amount to
much. I was on it. But I never re-
member that anybody handed me a $26
check. "We used to see members of the
vestry down at the McGinty club blow
outs."
Appeal To Pny Off Debt.
An appeal for funds to cover the par-
ish debt was first made by judge T. M.
Goggin. He started out by doubting
what Mr. Stevens had said about all the
bad being banished from the city. "The
status of some of our citizens may be
doubtful even now" he said. We used
to be able in the old days to meet any
Indebtedness of the church. "We ought
to be now."
Finallj' Mr. Ormsbee summed it all up
like this: ".Let each man not make
himself better than somebody else but
better than he has been."
Then H. E. Christie church treasurer
told of the finances of the church. "The
women pay1 C6 percent of all expenses"
he said. "We owe S1S00 including- the
parish house notes.
"I'd be a wooden indian if I did not
appreciate this turnout." said Rev.
Henry Easter rector. "This Is a man's
job" h warned.
The Last Speech.
As is often the case the talk of the
evening was made by the last speaker
called 'impromptu David McKnlght a
newcomer. He has been connected with
many men's clubs in other cities and
was called on for that reason. "This
soul saving is like insurance" he said.
"There are many policies. I think we
have the best one. Now there is the
Salvation army policy. You pound the
drum and you are saved. That's the
fraternal policy. Then there's the Ro-
man Catholic policy. They say. 'Why
i we've always been in the business. "We
know our business we've been at It so
long.' That's the old line."
Then followed a general discussion
of the club Idea. Dr. R. F. Williams
said a good word for the men's bible
class and at last a committee was ap-
pointed to look into the men's club
matter. The club will meet at dinner
four or five times a year and when-
ever there is a parochial attraction or
some work to do.

Her System
Every Woman iShould Read
This Advice and the Gen-
erous Offer that Goes
With It.
The number of diseases peculiar to
women is such that we believe this
space would hardly contain a mere
mention of their names and it Is a
fact that most of these diseases are of
a catarrhal nature. A woman cannot
be well if there is a trace of catarrh in
her system.
Some women think there is no help
for them. "We . positively declare this
to be a mistaken idea. "We are so sure
of this that we offer to supply medicino
absolutely free of all cost in every
instance where it fails to give satisfac-
tion or does not substantiate our claims
"With this understanding no woman
should hesitate to believe our honesty
of purpose or Jiesitace to nut our
claims to a test.
There is only one way to overcome
catarrh. That way is through the
blood. You may use all the snuffs
douches or like remedies for years with-
out getting more than temporary relief
at best. Catarrh in general is a dis-
eased condition of the system that
shows locally most frequently in dis-
charges from mucous membranes. Lo-
cal treatment should be assisted by in- .
ternal treatment for the general dis-
eased condition if a complete cure is to
be reached. That Internal treatment
should be scientifically ' devised and
faithfully administered.
Rexall Mucu-Tone is scientifically
prepared from the prescription of an
eminent physician who for thirty years
made catarrh his specialty. This remedy
is admirably adapted to the treatment
of the catarrhal ailments of women. It
purifies and enriches the blood tends
to stop mucous discharges aids in re-
moving impurities from the system
soothes heals and strengthens the mu-
cous tissues and brings about a feel-
ing of health and strength.
"We want you to try Rexall Mucu-
Tone on our guarantee. If you are not
benefited or for any reason not satis-
fied simply tell us and we will hand
back your money. Rexall Mucu-Tone
comes in two sizes 50 cents and $1.00.

Vouchers All For Rogers.
Sir. Rogers declared that none of the
vouchers were ever made out by the
board to the "Welch company but "the
vouchers are all made direct to me."
"It ds reported that the purchasing
agent of the schools has gone to
"Welch's picked out goods and that you
have then delivered them.".
"It Is not necessary to bring the
goods here to my -store; the deliveries
are made direct" he answered.
Mr. Rogers was asked if he had ever
gone to "Welch's with the purchasing
agent of the schools -and he answered
"no."
""We sell goods to anybody we are
wholesalers" was the emphatic response
of TV. Lu Peabody of the E. B. "Welch
company io the query if the E. B.
Welch company was selling1 goods to
.the school board through T. H. Rogers.
Continuing he remarked:
Sell.'i Gootln to Anybody.
"We sell goods to anybody wholesale
and retail; that is our principal line of
business.
"We have not solicited or sold a dol-
lar's worth of goods to .tho public
schools and our records and books are

"Have you sold goods to Rogers

Deliver Goods Where Ordered.
"It might have and 4t might not.
We have always enjoyed a fair pro-
portion of the business city and coun-
ty or at least we thought we did. We
deliver goods for any dealer either to
hia place of business or any other place.
It is optional with him where we de-
liver them. We have found it good
policy to instruct the force to obey in
structions on the orders.
"We might have had knowledge from
the clerks or the drivers that the goods
went to the schools; that did not make
any difference to us. We have no rea-

come to us from any other source ex-
