Bulletin Keeps Exes Posted
Hardly a day goes by without our re-
ceiving at least one letter from our boys
and girls either overseas or in military
camps throughout the nation. If you could
only read about how enthusiastically they
receive the news which is sent them each
month in the Bulletin, you would pay your
annual dues of one dollar per ex-student,
and help us carry on this worthwhile pro-
ject. Remember that not one cent fromDR. R. N. RICHARDSON, Class of '12. Act

the money you send in goes on salaries or
other expenses. One hundred cents out of
each dollar is spent for publishing and
sending the Bulletin. If you think it worth-
while, cooperate with us! If you have sug-
gestions to make which you think will im-
prove either ,the Association or the paper,
send them in. We will appreciate them.
Since the last issue of the Bulletin the
following exes have sent checks to the As-

Mecca For Visiting Exes
One of the greatest compliments you can
pay us is to make the Ex-student offices
your headquarters while you visit in Abi-
lene. Our offices are not too modernistic
and the furniture is not too nice. but there
is always a hearty welcome here for any
and all of you. If there are messages or
letters that you would like to pick up as
you come thru Abilene, address them in
care of the Exes and you will have them
here when you arrive.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Please pass the word around that
Hardin-Simmons will have ample
room for a number of girls this fall.
Since the government feels that our
facilities are too small to house a
large number of men, we can now
devote our full faculty and facilities
to the normal type of education. If
you know of a young man or a young
woman who should be in college this
fall-sell him or her on Hardin-Sim-
mons! We have Senior Hall, Mary
Frances Hall, Smith Hall, and Cow-
den-Paxton Hall for girls. Ferguson
Hall will be used for boys and a limit-
ed number of young married couples
who wish to go to college.
During the month, we have had visits
from the following: Lee Johnson '24 Super-
intendent of schools in Wink; Wanda De-
Pew'41, Shamrock; Lt. D. A. "Rodeo" Park-
er '41, Southwest Pacific; Ensign Irving
Cumbie '42, U. S. Coast Guard stationed
in Florida; Lt. Carroll Robertson '32, in-
structor for the Navy in the Univ. of Chi-
cago (married and brought his lovely wife
along); Jimmie '30 and Ruth Frank Sneath
'33. Jimmie will teach again this year, and
Ruth Frank will receive her third educa-
tional and medical degree this year from
St. Louis University. B. H. Pettitt '37,

Nearing Completion
We need only about $75.00 to complete
one of the most constructive classroom
projects ever carried on at the university.
By October we want to have twenty-five
of the most beautiful etchings offered on
the American market placed in various
class-rooms over the campus. These etch-
ings are of National Shrines and National
Heroes. They come complete and ready for
hanging. The etchings are the work of two

that you would like to participate in com-
pieting this project, please send in any
amount that you wish to Harry H. Hayes,

are anxious to complete this program dur-
