The Association will hold its ninetieth annual meeting at the Marriott
Hotel in Austin, March 6-8, 1986. This year's meeting takes place dur-
ing the Sesquicentennial year, when Texans will be celebrating the
15oth anniversary of Texas independence. As part of this special meet-
ing, the staff has put together a commemorative program that will in-
clude the usual information about the meeting's sessions, plus repro-
ductions of historic documents that deal with the founding of the
Association in 1897. It will also include an entire program designed by
Carl Hertzog for the 1945 annual meeting, pictures of all of the Associ-
ation's directors, and other items from our past. It will be a handsome
and interesting booklet that will have a great deal of meaning for mem-
bers and that will surely become a collector's item. This program is
twice the size of the usual production and costs a good deal more to
produce, so please bring the copy we send you to the meeting. Extra
copies will be available at the meeting for a small fee. The meeting
promises to be as special as the program in 1986, and we are expecting
the biggest turnout ever. As always, the meeting is open to anyone in-
terested in Texas studies, so join us in Austin and bring along your
friends. We look forward to seeing you March 6-8. It will be a meeting

added each year until the total of seventy-five is reached. Both motions

for a vote at the business meeting, March 7, 2 P.M., in Salon D-E of the
