The February business meeting
of the Loflin - iPreddy Post No.
110 Auxiliary, was held in the
Leonard Legion Hall Monday
night, with President Dorothy
Hiatt presiding. The meeting
was opened with a prayer by
Ruth Davis. Secretary Jackie
Kent we the minutes of the
rre-’-ious meeting which were ap-
proved as read. Lucille Scherer
gave the financial report and a
report on membprshin.
The Auxiliary reccmmendcd to 1
the Legion that the annual Amer-
ican Legion Birthday Dinner be
held on Saturday, March 23rd.!
The idea of updating the Units i
by-laws was discussed and refer-;
red to the chairman of the by-
laws committee, Lorene Ensm rv-
ger for action. Tentative plans1
were formed for a group of local1
ladies to make visits to the local
and nearby nursing homes. This
project will be discussed fully in
a later issue of The Graphic.
Vice President Ruth Davis, who
is the program chairman of the
Unit, gave a most interesting talk
on Patriotism. She stressed the
many advantages that we as
Americans have that are unequal-
ed by any other country in the
world. We should be proud to
stand up and say “I am an Ameri-
can.”
