Another Victory for the Frisco Coons!
Hooray! Don't stop now boys----let's
have another win this week when we
play Farmersville.
***************
My attention has been called to the
fact that I have not mentioned the
Jr. High Football Team in my column.
I apologize---but until last week, no
one had mentioned it to me. As I un-
derstand, the Frisco Jr. High team re-
mains undefeated for the year! This is
quite a record and I think they de-
serve a pat on the back. Oh, I was al-
so reminded that we have a "B" team!
>**************
We attended the Homecoming game and
activities at Sanger on Friday night.
Sanger had a smashing victory over the
Era Hornets. Just hope they smash the
Pilot Point Bearcats as bad this week.
At The Sanger Half-time Activities,
Miss Betty Frizzfell was crowned Foot-
ball Queen. She is the niece of Mr.
& Mrs. Dub Johnson of Frisco.
***************
Was gently informed at Chamber of
Commerce meeting that the street
sweeper was out of order,
to know that,
ed real. soon,
hear out of town people say,
drove through your little town the
other day. You have a nice little
place, but a "dirty town." I really
think we can do something about it if
we all, try a little harder.
***************
Mrs. Myldred Wall attended the funeral
of her cousin, Miss Mary Melton in
Leonard last week. Miss Melton had
been quite ill for some time,
had been a teacher for over 30 years
in the Leonard School.
***************
Mrs, C. A. Bristol, Mrs. Bill Christie
and Mrs. Myldred Wall attended work-
shop at Wylie Christian Church Sunday
afternoon.
***************
Sylvia Kerley of the First State Bank
in Frisco underwent surgery in the
Collin Memorial Hospital Tuesday A.M.
***************
I wasn't asked to join in congratulat-
ing Mr. C.C. Boatright in the opening
of his new business last week, so I
would like to take this opportunity to
say, "Congratulations and welcome to
Frisco Mr. Boatright,"
***************
HAVE YOU HEARD? The spooks are coming
out early in Frisco? The PTA is spon-
soring it's annual Hallowe'en Carnival
on Sat.,Oct.26. Activities begin at
6:30 P.M. at the High School. A Varie-
ty Show will be held at 8:00 P.M,Join
the crowd, bring the kids and support
a worthy cause. There will be fun &
food for everyone!
***************
Through the years I've collected many
things. But I think I get more enjoy-
ment and inspiration from the poetry
and other writings that I have in my
collection. That Is why I try to pass
some of these on to you each week. I
hope you too, can be inspired, encour-
aged or entertained by the thoughts I
pass on to you.
***************
Correcting faults is like tying a
necktie? we can do it easier on our-
selves than anybody else.
See you "ROUND TOWN"_______
