1 honcitly believes that Coach Eclt
; Curtis' Hanger BullcloRi have a
district championship team In the
making for this coming season
Hill figures that Abilene will be
the only team In the district to
give the Uulldogs any serious com-
petition . Read what he says In
his Sunday column:
By HILL MAYES
"The last peep we had thru the
knothole and Incidentally the last
for ubout a week as wr have giv-
en a week In which to "See Amer-
ica First." failed to bring out nny
mention of Segars who Is holding
down th center position on the
llulldog line This was not itn over-
sight because In the preliminary
prhotlceH the center has little to
do with the succeM of the signal
practice. Segars has been doing his
dally stint to the satisfaction of
Bck Curtis and Is about the only
iiHin on the team who doos not
hnvs Kme pretty stiff competition
far his position. When scrimmage
starts and there Is a little defen-
sive work to be done. Segars will
have hta opportunity to shine.-
Curtis can put In nn nll-tetitr
lineup if he thinks best He has
King and Stevens a sends Jones
and Planting as tackles Williams
and Alshnvan as guard. Segars ns
center. Wenver as qimrtcr. Town-
send. FulrcNith and Connelly as
halves and Klnhle as full. Town-
tend nnd Iteming lettered at An-
son last ymr while Connolly gal-
loped la the IkioU field of an Ama-
nita school.
'Anrang the flnt string men who
sin ihi in iw nny m incne win
probably be llagnr at full. Duvnl
at gutril. Atehman lit end and
Fulreloth can fill In at quarter
and Yonkor at tackle. By switch-
ing his llnc-up some he can have
a good relief man at any position
So fur no relief has been de-
veloped for Segars though there Is
plenty of good nutcrtnl that may
be worked Into good centers later
since f enme here In 1918"
"Catfish" Smith .mentioned for
all-America honors last year along
with Maffett. will be buck at one
end nnd Mehte will have Mack
Crenshaw a sophomore sub In it
fall and Weddlngton Kclley. an-
other capable sub. to pick from ut
the other.
The guards will be well taken
cure of wi(h Leathers. Maddox.
Bennett and Pattorson returning

Captain Austle Downes .the ihl-
cngo youth nnd the lad who ran
through Yale's defence on the
klekoff last fall for a touchdown
heads n list of capable quarter-
back material. Sullivan Is 'he
only other letter-man but Moran.
Young nnd Howard nrc promising
The halfback letter-men will in-
clude such stars as Chandler.

Genuine "BULL" DURHAM Tobacco at 50 marked the entrance of my father
Pcrcival S. Hill into the Tobacco business. For 14 years he was President of The
American Tobacco Company. The fine quality and popularity of "BULL" DURHAM
were always subjects of great pride to him. Therefore it is particularly gratifying to
to offer this important saving and service to the American
public at this time.
