Theology, at Southern Metho-
dist University in 1957.
The Crowley pastor, Rev. W.
T. Reynolds, relates that he
and Brother Chamness have
had the common experience of
serving the Methodist Church
at Gustine, Texas in succes-
sive years.
An outstanding feature of
the Revival will be teh obser-
vance of Sunday, May 1st, as
ONE GREAT DAY OF WIT-
NESSING. During this day
teams of laymen will visit in
the interest of the Christ and
the Church. Through such
visitation programs, the Ever-
man Methodist Church has re-
ceived 55 new members during
the past 11 mon’hs.

Combine Meetings
The Crowley PT A and Lion's
Club met Tues, night at the
school auditorium after the
Lion’s had completed their bi-
monthly business meeting and
a dinner served at the First
Methodist Church.
The combination
was opened with a Flag Cere-
mony conducted by represen-
tatives of the Cubs, Boy
Scouts and 4-H, who repeated
Club Promises and Mottos
Miss Gail Reid led the assemb-
ly in the Pledge to the Flag
and The Star Spangled Banner.
Seventh grade students, ac-
companied at the piano by Miss
Rene Bean, sang a spiritual
number. Rev. W. T. Reynolds
gave a meditation on the Good
Samaratin.
Mrs. H. K. Elliott Introduced
a skit entitled “The Communi-
ty That Cares.’’ Mr. and Mrs.
Sidney Poynter, Mr. I. W.
Fulgham, Mr. J. D. Meador and
Eugene Johns created the skit
characters. Mmes. R. A. But-
ler, Sterl Malone and Mrs.,.

in the District Eliminations
Contest which was held at Den-
ton on April 23, were: Jean-
ette Legg, accompanied by
Sherrill Dickson, who sang
April Showers and took 3rd
place in the Share the Fun
event. Linda Kay Hampton
and Nita Roundtree entered
the Electricity Division to take
2nd place with a Heavy Duty
Extension Cord demonstration
and David Whit fill entered in
the Tractor Division Contests.

that office at Tuesday nights
meeting. He announced those
officers that will aid him in
Lion's work during 1980-81
are; 1st Vice-Pres., George
Teeter; 2nd Vice-Pres., R. H.
Chapman; 3rd Vice-Pres., J. D.
Meador; Secy., Reed Stewart;
Tail Twister, Ray Legg; Lion
Tamer, Rev. W. T. Reynolds.
Delegate to State Convention,

National Convention are D. L.

It was announced that the
meeting of May 3, will be held
at 6:30. The Lion’s Club will
attend the Methodist Revival
in a body.

EIGHT-DAY EXERCISES
GOPPINGEN, GERMANY—
(AHTNC) — Army PFC
Teddy D. Bagley. 23, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Bagley,
Route 1, Crowley, Texas, re-
cently participated with other
personnel from the 4th Armor-
ed Division in an eight-day
command post exercise in
southern Germany.
The exercise, conducted
under realistic combat condi-
tions, was designed to deter-
mine the effectiveness of units
of the 4th Armored Division,
a major element of the NATO
shield of defense in Europe.
A gunner in Company C of
the division's 41st Infantry in
New Ulm, Bagley entered the
Army in December 1958 and
received basic training at Ft.
Hood, Texas. He arrived over-
seas in May 1959.
Bagley is a 1956 graduate
of Technical High School,
Worth. His wife, Wanda,
with him in Germany.

New Arrival
Cynthia Ann Clark arrived
April 19 and became the first-
born child to Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Clark of Bryan, Texas. The
proud grandparents are Mr.
and Mrs. Lewis Clark and Mrs.
Frank Cunningham of Crowley.
Mrs. Cunningham was on hand
at the Clark home to welcome
the 7-lb. granddaughter.
Mr. Lee Starling, former
Fire Chief of the Smithfield
Fire Dept, and Smithfield
resident, has made Crowley his
home. He is an employee of
the Quarter Master Dept and
is a resident deputy sheriff of
Tarrant County.
Mr. and Mrs. Otis Barton
and children visited on Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. H. W. God-
by of Haslet, who were cele-
brating their 50th Wedding
Anniversary.
M. ’. Laura Juit's of Snyder,
Oklahoma was a visitor in the
homes of Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Hardy
Tims.
Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Martin
are the proud parenta of a 7-lb.
10-os. daughter named Julia
Rene, born April 23. Happy to
welcome a little sister are Ed-
ward, Howard and Bert Martin.
The grandparenta are Mr. and
Mis. A. C. Rhine and Mr. and
Mrs. H H. Martin.
