annual Fun Festival held at
Old Glory School last Friday
night Merchants and friends
in Stamford, Rule, Aspermont
Hamlin, Sagerton and Has-
kell as well as those in Old
Glory who contributed mer-
chandise for prizes or donat-
ed money did much to make
this event a success.
About two inches of rain
fell in Old Glory last week.
Some parts of the communi-
ty had more, some less. High
winds tore down several barns
last Wednesday night.

do Springs, Colo., was here
last week visiting her parents,
Mr, and Mrs. Bono Erdman

Dear Folks,
Well, here I am again. We are
still beating brush. We found
another base camp this pitn-n-
ing. but we had to come back to
the command post because the
generator on our truck went out.
We are just sitting here getting
cleaned up and catching up on
J'esi and letter writing.
I might as well tell you about
it because it will lie in the pi-
pers. U all started about i>
o'clock in the afternoon. We
drove smack dab into a Viet
('dig base camp and that is
w here we spent the night.
About 0:30 the next morning
we got a call on I he radio to go
reinforce an artillery unit that
was under attack. We were
about St>0 meters from them, but
it was all jungle, so il took us
about I ; j hours to cli ive it.
