I have made arrangements with Pa to make a crop at home next year. Dolphus and myself are going to crop on the halves, Pa furnishing every thing. I intend trying next year to make a crop but I think it the last time I shall ever try to farm.

Emma, there will be so many coming to your house Christmas I think I will have to stay at home where there will be room for me. I think I must have a spell of the "blues" this morning. I feel bad and out of sorts generally. If it was not for Leona, I think I would go to sleep. I think more and more of her every day. I wouldn't care if she would stay a month.
