Render Unto Caesar the Things That
For the fifth time The Galleon has been successfully launch-
ed. It is now time to pay tribute to those to whom tribute is due.
The success of The Galleon is not due to the McMurry students,
nor to the business managers, nor to the editors; but to the busi-
ness men of Abilene, who through their use of The Galleon as
an advertising medium have made possible its continued publica-
tion. Were it not for the continued confidence and liberality of
these men, all of the McMurry student publications would either
have to be placed on a very low plane, or be abandoned entirely.
The students are indebted to these advertisers who have
patronized the columns of The Galleon. This indebtedness can
only be paid by spending your money with those who have pat-
ronized you. The student who fails to do this fails in his loyalty
to McMurry ,to the school publications, and to the business men
of Abilene who are backing McMurry. Before buying, always
ask yourself this question: "Have I seen an advertisement of
this firm in the college publications ?"
