Angel
When he told me he loved me,
I thought he was an angel.
Kind and gentle spirit
I could not give him Heaven.
Angel who lost his wings;
Promised to come back to me.
And we'll be all right,
And we'll be okay,
Angel who's lost his way.
The pain in his eyes
Echoed in my heart.
Lightening had struck him twice.
He couldn't shelter me from his storm.
Angel come back to me.
Don't leave me without Heaven's wings.
Make me all right,
And make me okay,
Don't let me lose my way.
Where he had failed,
He never did say.
The other half of my wondering soul,
I pray he's found his way.
Love that only Heaven can bring,
Angel who's lost his wings.32
