mission will be 25 cents.

dents. -
Three-one-act' plays will head-
line ! the show. Other talent will
include a performance by a group
. of RCA recording artists, Miss
Lillai'd said. The Tophatters Dance
• • Band will also entertain.

■ Mrs. Hazel Adcock, secretary to
the - business manager, will give
a welcoming speech. A trumpet
• fanfare will introduce the first
. presentation which is entitled "The
■ Passing- of Chow Chow," written
• - by Elmer L. Price. It is a one act
comedy' starring Kay Smith as a
• woman -who loved her dog more
' than tier husband. Danny Wafford
will'play the husband who is cruel
to Chow Chow, the dog'. Jack
Sperry plays the part of the- un
' (lerstanding- lawyer who tries in
vain to bring the family back to-
gether. "It will prove to be a very
humorous performance," Miss Lil
- lard said.
Judy -Bat-ham will tell how col-
lege boys spend their time at
home during- Christmas. "Bern;
college students, it is guaranteed
to touch closely to you," the in
■ struotor said, "Billy Onstott will
- give an interlude on the interpre-
. . tation of dramatics. However, this
. will be different than one would
-- think,''
The second play, of the evening
will be "A Seat In Tho Park," by
Sir Arthur Pinero. Playing op-
posite each other will be James
Angel and Margaret Stokes. Sup-
porting cast will be Richard Boyd.
The final play will be a roman-
tic episode by Sada Cowan entitled
"Sintram of Skagerrak," Harold
(Bo) Brown protrays the role of
a boy with the misconception that
he is in love' with- the sea, Molly
Taylor will co-star. Elwin • Wil-
lingham will read. "Sea Fever" by
John Mayfield as an opener.

NEW LIBRARY HOURS
Beginning Monday, Nov. 30,
1959, the following schedule of
hours for tho Library will. be
observed:
"The Library will be open
from 9:00 a. m, to 10:00 p. in,
Monday through Friday;
9:00 a, m, to 6:00 p. m, on
Saturday;
1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. on
Sunday;
The Library will be closed
during Civic Series programs."
The above changes in the
schedule of hours for. the Li-
brary are being made on the
basis of making tlje Lib any-
more readily available to stu-
dents at times they will have
available for use.

ISC journalists Attend

During the meeting the con-
vention delegates heard talks by
outstanding Texas journalists who
showed the students how to im-
prove their own writing and their
publications.
The delegates were housed , in
the A&M Memorial Student Canter
on the campus while they' attended
the lectures in the same building.
Highlight of -the convention for
the . Tarleton . delegation was the
presentation of awards following
a banquet on the second night Of
the meeting. Following an address
to the' Association members by Mr.
Ellie Hopkins}, Editor-in-Chief of
Estes Publications in Longview,
General Chairman Bob Weekly of
A&M presented awards to the
delegations of the- attending eol-

College Press Association at Texas
A&M College.

Rodeo Queen
Cowboys Have Rodeo.
Queen, Rodeo.or Not ■
The TSC Rodeo Club announced
last week that Rutlie, Ann Gid-
dens, Tarleton coed from Blum,
Texas, has been chosen Rodeo
Queen for the 1959-1960 rodeo
season.
Miss Giddens, a sophomore an-
imal husbandry student, acquired
her interest in rodeos while liv-
ing- on-a ranch near Rio Vista for
seven years and working with
horses during that tim'e, She has
"won considerable acclaim as a
horsewoman.
At tife mention of the fact that
a woman ' animal husbandry stui
dent is somewhat unusual, the
horsewoman explained the pheno-
menon with a love for horses. She
has lovecf Working. with' livestock,
and especially horses, "ever since I
can remember." .
The eoed'-s attitude toward
rodeos is explanatory of her mem-
bership in the TSC'Rodeo Club, of
which she is the secr.efcary-treasur-
er. In giving her reasons .for' join-
ing the organization, Miss Giddens
explained rodeo participation its a
sport, just as football'and baseball
are sports to many people; Upon
completing college, she plans to go
into ranching and raise horses.

Giddens was editor of . the school
yearbook, -she graduated 'third in
her class, she was an PHA officer
for . two yearsi( • a«d" she' was a
member .of • the- -girls'"- basfetball
team. She is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Roy R. Giddens of Route
2, Blum, Texas.

Math Club Announces

The Math Club of TSC will hold j of the history of mathmaties,
s'pecial demonstrations and . re-
ft meeting- Thursday," Dec. S, in
room 155 of the Science Braiding,
Dr. Wade Andrews of the mathe-
matics department announced last
week. This, will be the. first meet-
ing of the TSC Math Club and all
interested persons are. invited, he
said,
- The Math-. Club- meetings are
open to .anyone interested in at-^
tending, .However, for-a member-
ship in" the cltib -a C average in
math- is required. The. first, "nine
weeks grade of C or above in'any
Tarleton- mathematics - course.. is
sufficient for membership, as ■ the
club charter does not require stu-
dents to have completed a course
in mathematics.
' This. year,, the. sponsors 'for...the
TSC Math Club are Mrs, Walter
Chess more and Mr, Otto Bielas.
The regular program will consist
