After the branding was finished a
six-months-old calf was killed and a
"son-of-a-gun" was made for dinner,
which was heartily enjoyed by all
present, among whom were T. A.

having passed an exceedingly pleas-
ant day.
Upon their return to Hereford,
which was done in the: cool of the
evening the trail being lighted ;juth a
radiant full-moon, though we can as-
sure our readers that the travellers
were not in that condition, Mr. Irwin
had them bring several choice cuts of
the calf killed for the occasion, one
of which found its way to ye editor's
table, and we do not exaggerate in
the least when we say that it was
the finest piece o£ meat which Vever
passed between our lips that being
also the verdict of our whole family.
The only thing we regret was that
we were unable to be present at the
branding and partake of that "son-
of-a-gun" dinner, at which we had a
cardial invitation.

J. P. Harding, Who Sold His Drug
Business at Allen Has Been
at Hereford for Several
Weeks.
Mrs. J. P. Harding returned to
Allen last evening after a visit to
her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Sol Fitzhugh. , Mrs. Harding will
go to Hereford next Tuesday to join
her husband who recently sold his
drug business at Allen and went to
Hereford to form a co-partnership
in the drug business with Dr. R. H.
Gough, a prominent physician there.
Mr. Harding is a splendid gentle-
man and a first-class druggist, and
he and his estimable wite will
soon make many warm friends in
their new home.—McKinney Daily
Courier.
We would respectfully correct the
statement of the Courier in regard
to Mr. Harding having Armed a co-
partnership with Dr. Gough. On
the contrary he is the manager of
the drug store, but has 00 financial
interest in the same* Dr. Gough
saya he is still ."going it alone."
