STCL Student Bar Association
undertakes busy spring schedule
A busy spring schedule has
already begun for the members of
the Student Bar Association.
Members of the Student Bar
Association welcomed aprox-
imately 161 new students at the
Freshman Orientation on January
5th. Freshmen Senators, Brian
Gonzalez and Lynn Cherry were
responsible for the program which
included faculty members, mem-
bers of the administration and stu-
dent organization members.
At the last S.B.A. meeting,
Senior Senator David Dee and
Honor Court Justice Sam Paler-
mo resigned their positions
because they graduated in Decem-
ber. Individuals interested in
either of these two positions are
encouraged to apply. Applications
and requirements can be obtained
at the 2nd Floor information desk
or from S.B.A. Secretary Rick
Michael Roe, Senior Senator,
reported at the meeting that com-

answer. Today they're less tol-
erant. Someday the pendulum will
swing back, but right now it's on
the side of prosecution," ac-
cording to Holmes.
Johnny Holmes lives life day to
day and is hesitant to make any
predictions concerning his future.
"You only go around once and
you've got to enjoy what you are
doing. When the job is no longer
fun, I'll do something else but
whatever it is, it will be something
1 want to do and will enjoy doing.
You better grab that brass ring to-
day because it may not be there
tomorrow," prophesies the DA.
Like him or not, you must respect
his candor and tenacity because
that's the mark John B. Holmes,
Jr. will leave on the Texas criminal
panies interested in providing
graduation announcements and
graudation rings will do presenta-
tions at the January 21st meeting.
Members of the Student Board of
Governors will be responsible for
choosing the company that will be
providing these services to seniors.
If any student has questions con-
cerning either your announce-
ments or rings, please feel free to
contact Michael Roe.
The Student Bar Association
will be sponsoring a Blood Dona-
tion Drive and an organ bank
donation drive for the "Living
Bank". Individuals interested in
assisting with either of these drives
should contact either Mike
Echevaris or Lynn Cherry.
During the month of March,
elections for the Student Board of
Governors for the '83-'84 year will
be held. The date for the election
will be set at the February meet-
