There was n man of knowledge deep
and noble aweep who knew a
heap a man who studied day and
night and hardly spared the time
to sleep.
The man so staid he knew n maid de-
mure afraid and hair dismayed
shy as the nymph or ancient myths
sequestered In some sylvan shade.
This maid so rare with golden hair nnd
modest air so debonair she
charmed this man or learned lore
and caught hlin in her witching
snare.
This man of thought and learned lore
ins nair ue tore ami o'er anu o'er
he loudly swore that he would
cherish her for aye and he would
love her evermore.
Now-they aro wed In his library nooks

crooks nml sees his wife so sel-
dom now that he's forgotten how
she looks.
The wife to whom the man before so
loudly swore he would adore for
evermore lives with her mother
and deolares her husband is u regu-
lar bore.
