frlendtfl" They accuse us of not bene
fiting the cltv nnd the section wherein
our enterprise Is located. 1 can demon-
te the rauacy or mat proposition
readily. The Lone Star Browing com-
pany Is the largest brewing establish-
ment In the state and gives employ-
ment to morn operatives than any other
similar establishment In Texas. Our
weekly pay roll shows that we pay our
employes In cash twelve hundred dol
lars every week and do not make them
wait six montiia lor tneir money as otn-
ers do. This di es not include the pay
ment of traveling or other Indirect em-
ployes. Our company alone supports
the Ly tie coal mines (a home enterprise)
which emploja about forty hands. We
consume about twenty-live tons per day
of their coal. This money Is spent here
n our city and section. We purchase all
iur supplies wuicn are native prouuc-

moderate prlres. In regard to tho em-
ployment of labor whenever we are
able to Unit skilled labor here to answer

principal skilled operatives who on

is a oase taorioation anu originated sole-

They accuse us of manufacturing an
inferior article of beer. To prove the
falsity of that charge It Is only necessary
to state the Incontrovertible fact that
two-thirds of all the beer consumed here
Is manufactured by the Lone Star Brew-
ing company. If the Lone Star beer
wna bad It would not be purchased. Our
saloon men are good business men nnd
their patrons are good juugea oi tne
