on the new water and light plant was
made by the city secretary Friday
afternoon when he Issued a warrant
for the sum of five thousand dollars
to settle the balance due to the con
tractors the American Water and
Light company of Kansas City Mo.
on the plant This was done in con
sequence of the fulfillment of the
agreement on the part of the contrac
tors made by JohnJlen of the firm
who has been here for several weeks
to close up the .matter to give bond
in the sum of $5000 to bind the
company to keep the plant in good
condition fo rthe next twelve months.
