The East Texas town of Silsbee, Hardin County grew out of the creation of the Gulf, Beaumont, and Kansas City Railway in 1894. The Library is part of the Houston Area Library System and provides the community access to information and resources. It received a 2015-2016 Tocker Foundation grant.
