Did You...
EVER SEE A
MILLION DOLLAR
PAY CHECK?
Talk about "Big Business"!
Cherokee county dairy farmers are one of the most producingest industries in
Texas.
i
In 1959 the county's 60 dairymen sent more than 17,000,000 pounds of milk
to market.
That's a lot of cows, a lot of milk, and a lot of work. The end result was over
a million dollars in gross milk paychecks, making county dairying a vital factor
in the business and economic life of our county and our communities.
WE ALL PROFIT
Out of this million dollar "pay check" the dairy farmer pays for all of his
supplies, services, and machinery. Thus the dairy dollars he earns work through-
out our community, bringing money into the open market which helps make
Cherokee County more prosperous.
No agricultural payroll is more regular than the milk check. It contributes a
Steady flow of cash into the county.
More than that our county dairy industry makes it possible for our farmers
