Funeral services were held
at 3;00 p.m. in the Wallace
Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Lil-
lie V. Colvard of Rusk. She
passed away Monday morning
in Rusk Nursing Home.
Rev. L. Allen Holley, pastor
of the Rusk l-'irst Presbyter,
ian Church, officiated for the
final rites. Burial was in Ce-
dar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Colvard liad lived In
Rusk for 24 years.
Survivors include two sons,

Ralph B, Colvard of Sterling,
Colorado and Rufus C. Colv-
ard of Ft. Allen, Louisiana;
and three daughters, Mrs.
Ruth Statser of Big Springs,
Texas, Mrs. Blllie Ogle of
New Orleans, Louisiana, and
Mrs. Edna Harkins of Rusk.
Pallbearers were Bud Stat-
ser, Adon Duncan, Sam Click,
Glenn Miller, Wayne Town-
send, and Alton Knight.

back, age 64, of Rusk passed
away suddenly at her home
Sunday, January 4th. Funer-
al services were held at 1;00
p.m. Tuesday In the Wallace
Funeral Chapel. Rev. T, E.
JANUARY 8, 1970
Pate officiated for the final
rites and interment was in
Jarrett Cemetery near Rusk.
Mrs, Holsomback was born
August 11, 1905 in Cherokee
County. She had lived in Rusk
for the past 23 years and had
been employed at Rusk State
Hospital for 21 years. She
was a member of the United
Pentacostal Church.
Survivors include one son,
William C. Linder ofRoswell,
New Mexico; two daughters,
Mrs. Jessie Mae Logston of
Dallas and Mrs. Lorene 1 ind-
sey of Jacksonville: one sis-
ter, Mrs. Willie Under of
Liberty; 8 grandchildren; and
8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steven A.
Smith, John Melvin Gilrnore,
Tom LUPate, Jr., Johnny Gil-
rnore, Buford Gilmore, and
Delbert Gilmore.
Final Rites Held For Mrs. Manning Wed.
Funeral services for Rusk
native, Mrs. Sarah Gertrude
Manning, were held at 2:00
p.m. Wednesday afternoon in
the Wallace Funeral Home.
Rev. L. Allen Holley and Rev.
Grover Talbert officiated for
the final rues. Interment was
in the Rusk Cedar Hill Ceme-
tery.
Mrs. Manning passed away
Tuesday morning in Rusk Me,
mortal Hospital following a
three day stay in the hospital.
Mrs. Manning was born in
Rusk on January 29, 1877
and had lived here all of
her life. She was a member
of the First Presbyterian Ch-
urch. She was the widow of
the late Sam Manning of Rusk
who preceded her in death in
1944.
Survivors include four sons
Claud Manning and Ellis Man.

Manning of Troup, and Guy B.
Manning of Groves; 4 grand-
children and 9 great grand-
children.
