Advice- " Always obey your mother and father because they won't
tell you nothing wrong on this earth, and you will live
a long time. Always treat everybody nice regardless of
how they mistreat you because if you live in the Spirit,
always walk in the Spirit and always please Jesus
In my search for advice, this was by far the best because
it said so much in so few words. These words of advice offered
me a sense of pride and dignity. To most of the Blacks who did
use this phrase to mean that one must obey his parents and treat
them with the best of respect, mainly because they are a Black's
most valuable and precious possession. Also, to most Blacks, if
they have the Lord Jesus Christ and their parents to satisfy and
obey at all times, they have something to hold on to, regardless
of how others may mistreat them. In the process of being mis-
treated, Blacks have learned to always show respect for others
to follow because when a person reaches old age, it will be evi-
dent to the youn that he has lived in the Spirit of God and
certainly walked in the Spirit of God by the way he has treated
