a.m. Friday in the At.oy United
Methodist Church with the Rev.
Roland Alsobrook and the Rev.
Ja-Bo Thomas officiating. Burial
was in the Atoy Cemetery under
the direction of Wallace-Thomp-
son Funeral Home.
Mr. Maness (lied Aug. 9 in a
Rusk hospital. He was born Dec.
14, 1957, in Rusk.
He was a life-long Rusk
resident, a member of the Atoy
United Methodist Church, pro-
duce manager at Sam's Club in
Tyler and a volunteer fireman.
Preceding him in death were
hisfather, Phillip RolandManess
and his grandmother, Christine
Maness.
Survivors are his wife. Tammy
Maness of Rusk; a daughter,
Katie Nielsen of Rusk; his
parents. Aliene and George
Wagner of Hooper, Neb.; three
sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay
and Buddy Mason of Atoy, Jan

Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Moore died Aug. 12 in
Oklahoma City. He Was born
Aug. 28, 1913, in Elbert County
Ga.
After serving in World War II,
Mr. Moore returned to his home
of Elberton, Ga. where he began
his career in the monument busi-
ness. In 1949 he and his family
movedto Jacksonville, where he
foundedthe Moore Granite Com-
pany. After working in Austin,
he purchased the Star Memorial
CompanyinMt. Pleasant, where
he worked until retirement. He
pursued his life-long dream of
farming and raising registered
Limousin cattle until illness
forced him to move to Okla-
homa City.
Preceding him in death were
his father William Boykin Moore;
his mother Gertrude Hammond
Moore; two brothers, John and
AustinMoore; anda sister, Fran-
cis Monroe.
Survivors are a brother and
sister-in-law, Hammond and
Tanya Moore of Aiken, S.C.;
a daughter, Frances I a nolle
Bagley and her husband of
Longview,: a son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Jack A. and Betty
Moore of Oklahoma City; three
grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren.

81, of Galveston, formerly of

p.m. Saturday at Grace Temple
Church of God in Christ with

Cemetery at New Summerfield
under the direction of Williams
Funeral Home.
Mr. Wagoner died Friday
morning in Galveston. He was
born Nov. 7,1923, in Reklaw. He
was a member of the Jerusalem
Missionary Baptist Church and
was a retired employee of John
Sealy Hospital in Galveston.
Preceding him in death were
his parents, Lawrence and
Hassie Mallard Wagoner.
Survivors are his wife, Kath-
erine Wagner of Decatur, Ga.;
five step-sons, Eddie, Emmitt,
Lyndon, Charles and Joseph,
all of Decatur; two step-daugh-
ters, Elizabeth and Carolyn
of Decatur; a brother, Lessie

ated from Tyler Junior College,

in Nacogdoches and Centenary
College in Shreveport, La. He
was a landman and a member
of the Jacksonville First Baptist

She was born Oct. 4, 1913, in
Maydelle to the late John Wil-
liam and Maggie Viola Starkey.
She moved to Gallatin in 1919
and attended Gallatin schools.
She was a lifelong member of
the Gallatin Baptist Church. She
had been a seamstress, barber,
cook at the Gallatin school and
Democratic election chairman
for the Gallatin precinct.
Preceding her in death were
her husband, Sam F. (Pappy)
Hicks; a sister, Jewel Ghdden;
and a brother. Ode 11 Starkey.
Survivors are a son, Wayne
Starkey of Corpus Christi; a
sister, Elsie Bea Miller of Katy;
a brother. Bill Starkey of Texas

great-grandchildren: four great-
great-grandchildren; nieces and
nephews.
