Dr. Virgil Gordon, in his Last Will & Testament, bequeathed his estate to the Sealy Public Library, then operated by Austin County, for the purpose of constructing, establishing, furnishing, and maintaining a public library in Sealy, Texas. This bequest became vested with the Sealy Public Library.
