SPECIAL LAWS. 283
SEC. 8. Upon this Act becoming law, the board of trustees
of the Willis Independent School District herein created may,
without the necessity of a petition therefor, order an election
for said district as hereby created by this Act, at which the
qualified property tax-paying voters residing in said Willis
Independent School District hereby created, shall decide the following
propositions:
(1) Whether such entire district as a whole as herein created
shall assume all bonds heretofore voted and issued by the
Willis Independent School District and any other school district
included within the district herein created; and all property
within said district as created by this Act, shall be subject to all
taxes to provide for interest and sinking fund upon all outstanding
bonds previously voted and issued by such district or
districts.
Voters in such election who favor this proposition shall have
written or printed upon their ballots, "For assuming all bonds
and extending all bond taxes to the entire district as a whole";
those opposing same shall have written or printed upon their
ballots, "Against assuming all bonds and extending all bond
taxes to the entire district as a whole."
(2) Whether all property within the Willis Independent
School District as created by this Act, shall be subject to all special
school taxes heretofore voted and levied by the Willis Independent
School District.
Those favoring such proposition shall have written or printed
upon their ballots, "For extending all special school taxes over
the entire district as a whole"; those opposed to such proposition
shall have written or printed upon their ballots, "Against
extending all special school taxes over the entire district as a
whole."
SEC. 9. Notices of such election specifying all propositions
to be submitted and the forms of ballots to be used, specifying
the time and place for holding such election and containing such
other matter usual to notices of school elections, shall be given
by the president or secretary of the board of trustees of the
Willis Independent School District herein created, by posting
a copy in each of three public places within said district, such
notices to be posted not less than three weeks prior to the date
of such election. Such election shall be held and returns made
as in the case of other elections in independent school districts;
the results being determined by the board of trustees as in the
case of other elections in independent school districts; and such
orders as may be usual and necessary under the General Laws
of this State in regard to such elections shall be entered for the
purpose of carrying into effect the results of such election.
SEC. 10. This law shall be cumulative of all General Iaws
of this State on the subject of independent school districts, not
in conflict herewith; and where not otherwise provided herein,
such General Laws apply; but in case of conflict with such General
Laws, the provisions of this Act shall govern; and should
any section or provision of this Act be declared invalid or un-
