line of said Drake Street to its intersection with the center line
of Caldwell Avenue;
Thence in a westerly direction along and with the said center
line of said Caldwell Avenue to the east boundary line of the
right-of-way of the G. C.
Thence in a southeasterly direction along and with the west
boundary line of said right-of-way of said G. C.
Thence in a southerly direction along and with the said west
boundary line of said corporate limits of the city of Beaumont,
Texas, to a point where the same is intersected by the north
boundary line of the Averill Addition to the city of Beaumont,
Texas, the same being a point in the boundary line of the corporate
limits of the city of Beaumont, Texas, as extended by
ordinance of said city for school purposes only, which ordinance
was passed by the city commission of said city on the 27th day
of November, A. D. 1923, which said ordinance is of record in
Volume 4, page 402, of the minutes of ordinances of said city;
Thence in a general westerly direction along, with and following
the said boundary line of said corporate limits of said city
of Beaumont as extended by said ordinance for school purposes
only, the same being along and with the north boundary lines
of the Averill Addition to said city, to the northwest corner of
said Averill Addition;
Thence due west along and with the north boundary line of
the corporate limits of said city of Beaumont as extended by
said ordinance for school purposes only to a point in the east
boundary line of the Amelia Common School District No. 3 of
Jefferson County, Texas, the same being a point in the east
boundary line of the H. Williams league;
Thence in a northerly direction along and with the east
boundary line of said H. Williams league to the northeast corner
of same, the same being the southeast corner of the said F.
Bigner survey;
Thence in a westerly direction along and with the south
boundary line of said F. Bigner survey to the southwest corner
of same, the place of beginnning.
The said French Independent School District, as created by
this Act, containing an area of approximately 14.39 square
miles, and embracing exactly the same territory and lands, without
any change whatsoever, as was contained in and embraced
by the heretofore existing Common School District No. 5 of
Jefferson County, Texas, and the boundaries of said French
Independent School District, as herein created and defined, shall
