No. 953 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the appointment of the superintendent of juvenile 3 detention facilities in Wichita County. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Section 152.2492(b), Human Resources Code, is 6 amended to read as follows: 7 (b) The chief juvenile probation officer [family court 8 se . . erc-ee- ....patm.t adm.n.L& at--r] shall appoint the 9 superintendent of each facility. The juvenile board must confirm 10 the appointment. A superintendent or an assistant may be suspended 11 or removed at any time by the appointing authority. 12 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 13 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected'to each house, as 14 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this 15 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 16 Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
