1 WHEREAS, The Texas Legislatur honors an commemorates the
2 life of amily physician r Carlos Ramon Saca, who was taken from
3 this world on Sunday, May 4, 1997, at the age of 43; and
4 WHEREAS, Born on January 29, 1954, in Edinburg, Dr. Saca led a
5 life of accomplisAhment, compassion, generosity, and interity that
6 s seldom achieved even over a much longer per iod of t ime; and
7 WHEREAS, Inspied by his father, the late Car los Saca, and
8 his mother, Gloria Garza Saca, both of Edinburg, and motivated by
9 his determination to make a difference in South Texas, Dr. Saca
12 cum laude and placed first in a graduating class of 619; and
13 WHEREA, After he attende d and r aduatd with sp eci al
14 recognition from The University of Texas Medical School in Houston,
15 Dr. Saca erfomed h.is internship in the Department of Family
16 Practice with The University of Texas at San Antonio Medical School
17 in the Bexar County Ho spital; and
18 WHEREAS, He then returned to his beloved hometown of Edinburg
19 and became a partner and associate with Stephens, Meede, Saca, and
20 Associates, a busy clinical practice that averaged between 200 and
21 300 patient visits per week; and
122 WHEREAS, His medical skills and positive interaction with the
23 community all owed him to quickly estab sh his own practice, where
24 he attracted some- of the most skilled physicians in. the area; and
