privileges and duties of a town incorporated under the General
Laws of this State for free school purposes only, and the board
of trustees of the said district shall. have and exercise all of
the rights, powers, privileges and duties conferred and imposed
by the General Laws of Texas upon the trustees of a district incorporated
under the General Laws of the State for free school
purposes only; provided that the present board of trustees of the
said Bethel Common District No. 29 shall continue in office and
ir charge of the district herein created until the next general
election of trustees for independent school districts as provided
by General Law at which time a board of five trustees
shall be elected by the said district to serve as provided by General
Law.
SEC. 3. The crowded condition of the calendar and the inadequate
public free school facilities of the territory hereby
incorporated creates an emergency and an imperative public
necessity that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be read
on three several days be suspended and the same is hereby suspended
and this Act is to take effect and be in force from and
after its passage; and it is so enacted.

passed the House, 105 yeas, 0 nays; passed the Senate, 21 yeas,
0 nays.]

CREATING THE BRYSON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN JACK AND YOUNG COUNTIES.
H. B. No. 320.] CHAPTER 17.
An Act creating the Bryson Independent School District in Jack and
Young Counties, Texas, validating all levies of taxes and contracts
made in behalf of the existing Bryson Independent School District;
continuing in office the board of trustees of said independent district;
repealing all laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act
and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. The Bryson Independent School District in Jack
and Young Counties, Texas, is hereby created to include the
present Bryson Independent School District and to have the
metes and bounds as herein set forth:
Beginning at the N. W. corner of the S. P. R. R. Co. 3 ptd.
16/64; thence East to the West line of Jacob Veal Survey; thence
North to the N. W. corner of same; thence East to the N. E.
corner, of same; thence North to a point due West of the midline
