Iggle Jackson declared she was frightened
of Louis Clemence as he swore he would kill
her. On being asked why she thought so
Peggy replied it was only because she had
moved her furniture from his house where she
rented a room. As to the pistol matter she
went to his house to fetch some few remaining
articles when he chased her to Mr. Davis'
house with a pistol. No one saw the pistol

IJreaklng Up a Crowd.
With hands in their pockets leaning sitting
reclining in every position can be found
every morning a crowd of idlers around Kal-
teyer's drug store. Many of them lean right
up against the show window keeping the
light out. This must be stopped at any price
thought the clerks but how to do it "there's
the rub." A bright idea occurred to one.
Put amonla in the cellar recess covered by the
grating under the window. It is done and
now watch the result. The loungers outside
aie perfectly Innocent of the clearance project
but in another moment the strong amonla be-
gins to work. They sniff they sneeze they
cough. The clerks inside add more amonla.
The idlers outside begin to move; suddenly
they bresk they run and the sidewalk is
clear.
