The burglars have been turning their atten
lion to sslooas but it may be presumed lhat
they will get off that track soon as it does not
psy Scholz's saloon only yielded $1 50 tb
property ol the lunch counter man and a le
drinks. Lippe's saloon was rather better but
only $3 5 was obtained there. It can be
well imagined that the burglars are ditgustcd
at the result.
Setting Up Housekeeping.
Charles Johnson was belore the District
court for thelt. It appears that Johnson went
to Messrs. Hannlg & Standcn and got a
qasDtl y of goods on the strength of his
statement that bewsssettiogvp housekeeping
in the city. But Johnson sold the goods at a
great sacrifice and pocketed the proceeds af
the ssle. The jury lound the prisoner guilty
and awarded htm a seven years icntence.
