fine rain and said his corn was
coming nicely.
W. O. Kent and lady left last
Thursday for Jayton- where
W. O. will have charge of the
'paper at that place.
W. B. and Henry Boydstun
were in from North Salt Fork
Saturday and reported a fine
season, though not enough to put
out much stock water.
Jeff Davis' bondsmen came in
and gave him up last Thursday
and he was required • to make a
new bond, which he succeeded
in doing.
C. F. McCall. the photographer
will be at Oriana for the next
two weeks and possibly longer.
Anyone wanting work in this
line will please call on him.
I have a nice lot of frames at
the Cottage Hotel in Aspermont

T. T. Thames, who was con-
victed of selling liquor, was given
a new hearing and released from
custody, but was afterwards ar-
rested on two charges and placed
under bond.
Mrs. D. T. Bulloch and Miss
Ruth Bulloch, who spent last
week with relatives here, left
Saturday for Roby where they
went to attend county court.
By special arrangements made
with the Austin Statesman we
are again in position to give to
every subscriber paying
cash in advance the Statesman
and Diversified Farmer. Many
of our subscribers took advantage

do likewise hand in your sub
scription before June 1st as the

Mrs. Will Marr left Tuesday
for Steeple Rock, N. M. for the
benefit of her jiealth and to visit
her sister.
G. M. Horn was in Saturday
and reported a fine season in his
section, but not enough rain to
make much stock water.
J. M. Stewart has leased the
West Side Barber Shop from A.
C. Howard and has employed
the services of M. T. Frazier.
On the morning of the 11th,
fire destroyed about two-thirds
of the buildings on the west side
of the square in Snyder. They
were all wooden buildings with
no insurances

J. Boyd, who owns a fine piece
of land two miles south of Asper-
mont has sent in a large force of

vation.

vegetables every Thursday in-
stead of Friday as heretofore. I
will begin to receive strawberries
on Friday, April 10th.

Mrs. N. G. Rollins left last
Saturday for Nashville, Tenn.,
and other points in the interest of
the Northwest Texas Conference
of Home Mission Societies, of
which she is secretary and treas-
urer.

years, and everything is perfectly
lovely. The fact that the rain
fell slow caused most of the water
to be absorbed by mother earth,
therefore not as much stock water
put out as might have been, but
