Significant events visible on the map include the Taisei Maru being torpedoed and sunk, the USS Cero sinking a picket boat, the USS Sennet hitting a cargo ship, 8 B-24's bombing and sinking the Kanei Maru, Task Group 52.1 hitting Sakashima, Commander Battleship Squadron 2, Battleship Division 6, and Destroyer Squadron 48 bombarding southern Okinawa, the 10th Army being on the offensive in Okinawa, and a demonstration/feint on southern Okinawa beaches from Task Group 51.23, 307th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, and the 77th Army Combat Division.
