Scotch Apple Tart—Peel and core
a half dozen tart apple and place in
a casserole in a slow oven, adding
neither water nor sugar. When ten-
der mix in Sultana raisinB, allowing
a quarter of a pound to each pound
of apples, sprinkle with sugar and
grated lemon; cover with a top crust,
pricking well to allow for the escape
of steam, and bake in a quick oven.
Serve with milk.
Scotch Tea Cakes—Two cups oat-
meal, one cup sugar, two-thirds tea-
spoon salt, two eggs, one teaspoon
melted butter, few drops vanilla.
Beat eggs until very light, and add

ents and beat. Drop from spoon on
well-greased pan; spread in flat cakes.

crumbs together and then add the

the rooms where the players gathered
for the games. Mrs. Ray Harvey and
Mrs. O. S. Windell were presented
with silken lingeries for top scores.
A delicious salad course was passed
on trays centered by a green nest
containing a saucy blue and yellow
goose filled with colored eggs, which
were cut for as table prizes and went
to Mrs. T. L. Goodnight and Misses
Mildred Smith and Mary Penn Bowers.
Those included in this most delightful
affair were Mesdames Ray Harvey,
J. Simpson, T. L. Goodnight, G. P.
Easley, H. Gregg, O. S. Windell, H.
