You've often heard Ihe expression "when hell freer.es over," bul this
time it's literally true. Hurled under six Inches of snow Is the little set-
tlement of Hell, Mich., a name given by one of the early settlers who
wus arrested for not paying his taxes on whisky he was distilling there.
He christened the town Hell and Hell It hns been ever since. The photo-
graph shows a dam at Hell frozen over. Although the little river Is not
named, It presumably Is the HI ver Styx.
