On the evening of March 12th,-
at' the residence of the bride's la-
ther in Burnet county, by Elder
J. A. Abney of this city, Mr.
William T. IIutto, of Ilutto Sta-
tion, Williamson county, to Miss
Amanda Berry.
We are requested by R. D.
McAnally, Esq.. and his most esti-
mable lady, to tender their heart-
felt gratitude and unfeigned thanks
to their friends and acquaintances,
and to the citizens of the town of
Lampasas in general, for the Chris-
tian kindness and brotherly atten-
tion extended to the former during
his late severe indisposition at the
Star Hotel. To the ladies of Lam-
pasas especially they feel under
many obligations for attention
shown and comforts furnished. To
Mrs. Gracy, hostess of the Star
Hotel, too much praise cannot be
bestowed for her prompt, unremit-
ting kindness and attention in ad-
ministering to their comfort and
supplying the waflits of-'the sick.
They recommend the Star Hotel
and its efficient hostess*to all who
may be similarly situated (sick and
away from home) to go there. Mr.
and Mrs. McAnally take great
pleasure in making this public ac-
knowledgment of thanks to the
good people of Lampasas with the
assurance that the recipients of
favors received will ever proudly
cherish and hold tbem in grateful
8000 a^f remembrance.
—Lampasas county scrip is now
current at 75 cents on the dollar.

MUSICAL. INFOllMATION.
Ninety thousand copies have al-
ready been sold of Will. L. Thomp-
son's famous song, " Gathering
Shells From the Seashore." It is
thought that " Drifting w\th the
T\de," this author's last composi-
tion, will even eclipse " Gathering
Shells" in popularity." Any mu-
fic dealer will mail either of these
beautiful pieces to your address on
receipt of price, 40 cents. Pub-

VINDICATION.
Mr. Cook, who lives on Mr. C. C.
Cooper'3 place in Burnet county,
was searched by authority of a
search warrant for the money which
Mr. Tatum lost, and in justice to
him I would state to the public
that no trace of the . money was
found, and that in our opinion he
was unjustly suspicioned of the
crime.

Galveston, for the purpose of re-
plenishing his already most excel-
lent drng store. His post office
and drug store is one of the pretti-
est and best kept establishment in
the State, and he intends to keep
up with the motto, " Ouward and

—We regret that a very interest-
ing and newsy communication from
our Burnet correspondent was re-
ceived after we had closed our forms
for the present issue. It is good
enough, however, to keep a week,
and our readers will see it in our
next number. We are glad to know
that the Dispatch is well appre-
ciated by our Burnet friends, and
we intend, as long as that county
has no paper, to represent her fairly
and fully to the outside world.
