.. Mary Ada Heisel died 25 January 1970 at North Dallas
. General Hospital, Carrollton, Texas. At the time of her death, she
owned a home at 5914 Revere Place in Dallas. Her death certificate
listed her birth date as 12 June 1883 and her age as 86 years. Her son,
James E. Smith, was the informant, and he listed her father as Chesley
Gundiff and her mother as Myra C. Givens. Cause of death was
pneumonia, and she was buried in Oakland cemetery on 27 January
1970 beside her husband in Section 30, Lot 36 NE 2.85 A brief

Generation No. 3
June Heisel Fullerton, daughter of Robert V. and Mary (Heisel) Fullerton, was born 1 June 1906 in
Dallas. She married Luther January on 10 September 1935 in Dallas.87 Luther January was enumerated on the
1930 U.S. census lodging with the John Garrison family living at 824 N. Edgefield Road in Dallas.88 According to
the city directory for 1934,89 Luther January rented a room from Mrs. Mary Fullerton at her residence at 1400
Plymouth Road before he married June Fullerton. We located Luther January on the 1920 U.S. census in Shelby
County, Texas where he was enumerated with his widowed mother and older sister.90 Luther was an adding
machine salesman for the Underwood Elliott Fisher Company of Dallas. The Januarys had one daughter, June
Lindley January, born 1 June 1938 in Dallas.91
Luther January died 3 October 1978 in Dallas.92 A brief death notice appeared in the Dallas Morning News
on 5 October 1978: "Luther January. Survived by wife Mrs. June January; daughter, Miss June Lindley January,
both of Dallas. Services 10 a.m. Thursday. Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. Private interment,
family only. Hillcrest Memorial Park." 93 June Heisel January died in Dallas on 10 April 1995,94 two years after the
death of her only daughter. We did not find an obituary or death notice.
Robert Vincent Fullerton Jr., son of Robert V. and Mary (Heisel) Fullerton, was born 4 November 1912
in Dallas and died unmarried 16 February 1988 in Dallas. He may have served in the military because the city
directories from 1940-194595 list his occupation as USA (a standard abbreviation for U.S. Army). We did not have
time to extend our research into any military service for Robert V. Fullerton Jr. However the 1960 Dallas city
directory listed Robert V. Fullerton as the president of the Westmoreland Heights Shopping Village.96

June Lindley January attended Sunset High School and was listed in the 1956 bU I
yearbook, The Sundial, as a member of the Future Teachers of America and the Future
Nurses Club. June January never married, and she died at the age of 55 on 13 February
1993 in Dallas.97 The obituary in the Dallas Morning News read "June Lindley January,
graduate of Sunset High School. Attended modeling school and SMU night school for
two years. Employed with New York Life for twenty-eight years; licensed real estate
broker. Ms. January was a member of Kessler Park United Methodist Church. Survived
by her mother, June Heiser [sic] January of Dallas. Services 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February
16, 1993. Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. Interment Hillcrest Memorial

and her grandmother, Marie Lindley Heisel Fullerton.
Conrad Heisel Family
Generation No. 1
Going on a hunch that Adam Heisel was related to Conrad Heisel, we began to search for him. We found a
record of Conrad Heisel's emigration to the United States on the ship Jubilaum that sailed from Bremen to New
Orleans arriving on 25 November 1856.99 Conrad Heisel's passenger list information seems more promising as
being the "correct" one than does Adam Heisel's information. Conrad Heisel was passenger no. 150 (out of 151) on
the bark Jubilaum. He was twenty-seven years old and a "taylor." His originating "country" was listed as
