Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson was born in De Kalb County, Tennessee, on December 17, 1844. She
died on June 17, 1939, at the age of 95. She was first married to Marion Francis. Two sons, T.B.
Williams, Altus, Oklahoma, and James S. Williams, Quanah, survive her. Her husband died in
1879. In 1887, she married Ples Robinson, who died November 11, 1930. In 1888, the family left
Tennessee and moved to Collin County, and then in 1927, they moved to Quanah. Her funeral
was held in Quanah Methodist Church on June 18, 1939. Burial was in the Quanah cemetery.
John Lewis Easterling was born in Shubuta, Mississippi on March 26, 1867, and died on June
12, 1939, at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Florence E. Campbell in Ft. Worth. He came to
Texas in 1872 and lived in Ft. Worth. He is survived by sister, Mrs. Campbell, a twin brothe,
Rev. W. S. Easterling, Atlanta, Texas, half- brother, W.E. Hall, two step sisters; Mrs. J. B.
Sessions of Azle and Mrs. T. A. Rigsby of Quanah. Funeral services were held in the Ash Creek
Baptist Church of Azle. Burial was in the nearby cemetery.
Nancy Cason Stout, nee Nancy Cason Hodges, was born on May 1, 1860, in Henderson County,
Tennessee, and died on July 6, 1939. On January 21, 1880, she married L. D. Stout and had eight
children. Four children preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband and 4 children: C.
F. Stout, Memphis, Texas; Mrs. N. B. Curtis, Estelline, Texas, Mrs. J. L. Richburg, Turkey,
Texas; and Mrs. J. H. Wright, Estelline; Texas. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 10
J. M. Russell (John Marsh Russell) was born in North Carolina on January 8, 1857. The family
moved to Clarksville, Texas. He married Rhoda Jane Bloodworth on January 13, 1881. They had
six children, all of whom were with him when he died. He is preceded in death by his wife. He
died on January 17, 1939, in Childress. He is survived by children Rev. Clark Russell, Sulphur
Springs; Mrs. T. J. Rea, Ft. Worth; Mrs. J.C. Russell, Wichita Falls; Mrs. Lee Terry, Wichita
Falls; Mrs. Clarence Jones and Mrs. Madge Warren, both of Childress Texas. There are eight
grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Stella Faye Smelser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson H. Smelser, was born on February 14,
1828, in Baird, Texas. When she was 6 months old, the family moved to Odessa, Texas. She died
after a brief illness on July, 28, 1939. Besides her parents, she is survived by a twin sister, Della
Mae, and two other sisters. Burial was in Odessa.
Miss Mary Lou Kennard died on June 16, 1939, in Anderson, Texas. She was daughter, sister
Capt. W. W. Puckett died on July 1, 1939, and was buried on July 2, 1939, at the age of 97. He
died at his son's home, D. M. Puckett of Waco. Burial was in Buda, Texas. He is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. J. H. Bridges of Houston, and five sons, Wilson of Pharr, Felix of San Antonio,
Walter of Ft. Worth, Mills of Houston, and Raymond of Everett, Washington. He was born in
