A center for artistic and cultural growth located in the Montrose area of Houston, the Museum of Fine Arts displays interesting and unique exhibitions. It is the oldest art museum in Texas, formed in 1900 by the Public School Art League. Since then, multiple entities have made important donations to the museum, including Ima Hogg, the daughter of former Gov. Jim Hogg, who gave her home of Bayou Bend in 1957.
