Includes: "Explanation" of symbols used, a table of "Heights of Towns & Mountains," and "Memorandum of the Battles of 8th & 9th May." Insets: "Plan of Monterey," "Tampico and its Environs," "Chart of the Bay of Vera Cruz," and a map of the 8th and 9th May 1846 battle. Relief shown by hachures and soundings. Scale [ca. 1:2,210,000].
