Mr. Joe Shannon, Jr., of Tarrant,
offered the following amendment to
the bill:
Amend H. B. 207 by striking the
period at the end of Subsection B of
Sec. 1 and adding the following:
"except that the provisions of this
Act shall not be applicable to the
sale of any items to be used for busi-
ness or recreation or for exclusive use
in the home. Any purchaser desiring
to claim an exemption under this
section shall sign a statement at the
time of the purchase stating the na-
ture of the use to which the item
purchased shall be put."
Mr. Traeger moved to table the
amendment offered by Mr. Joe Shan-
non, Jr., of Tarrant, and the motion
to table prevailed.
Mr. Hull offered the following
amendment to the bill:
Amend H. B. No. 207 by adding
to paragraph 2 B the following: "Pro-
vided, however, feed, seed, fertilizer
and farm machinery and equipment
shall be subject to taxation under the
provisions of this Act."
Mr. Traeger moved to table the
amendment offered by Mr. Hull.
The motion to table prevailed by
