Performs all duties as required to ensure effective recruitment and hiring of
employees, maintenance of employee information and administration of benefits
for the TMC Head Start/Early Head Start (HS/EHS) Program. Position is also
responsible for the human resources activities of the program including
personnel files and insuring orientation and tracking of staff. Performs all duties
as required by the Program Director and other duties as assigned relating to the
administrative component including policy and procedure updates, typing, word
processing, faxing, acting as receptionist and other clerical duties as necessary.
Position is cross training for purchasing, accounts payable and accounts
receivable and payroll function.
High School diploma or GED with three years experience in human resources
functions required at a minimum. An Associates degree in management,
supervision or small business human resources management or other closely
related field is preferred. The individual must have the ability to manage
numerous tasks, possess good organizational skills, communicate effectively with
co-workers and the public, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Acceptable tuberculosis screening results, a clear criminal records check and an
initial health exam are required post job offer and prior to employment. Current
and former Head Start/Early Head Start parents wili receive preference for
employment vacancies for which they are qualified.
