ARREST OF RADICAL
WHO OUSTED KERENSKY
IS EXPECTED HOURLY
-stttttsssi sttttttwaW
stswatV HI
This -picture of Leon Trotzky. who with Nikolai Lenine
engineered the coup which overthrew the Russian provisional
government is the only one in the United State. It waa
taken while he was in New York where (or three months he
waa acting editor of the Russian Socialist newspaper Novy
Mir.
Trotzky whose adventures read like fiction seems doom-
ed to prison bars again or to exile in Siberia as news of the
rapidly crumpling Bolsheviki movements comes from Russis.
The arrest of Trotzky snd Lenine is believed to be a matter
of only a few houra as the loyal troops of the Kerensky gov-
ernment battle to regain control. Britain it is reported has
promised to give Russia stronger backing financially and in
a military way.
