Notes

User Feedback: "Peter Lamp was born in Lutterbek, Probstei, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on 12 Feb 1842 to his parents Claus Lamp and Silke Göttsch. The Lamp family immigrated to America in 1846 and settled in rural Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. Peter married Anna Mueller in 1869 and they had three children: Cecelia (1870), Herman (1872), and Clara (1874). He was a successful farmer in rural Scott County, Iowa until a few years after his wife's death in 1891. He came to Port Arthur, Texas in 1897 and pursued many ventures including being employed as Port Arthur's chief grain inspector and he was president of the Proven Oil Field Company. He moved briefly to Los Angeles, California before his death. He died in Davenport, Iowa on 21 Jul 1921. He was buried in beside his wife in Davenport City Cemetery."
